1000th post

It took some convincing, but…

Lupe made me do this, guys. (I told her I did the 900th and she should have the fabulous honor of the first four-digit post, but nooo.)

And the owner of the blog has no clue what to do with that post.

Update 2020: 1000th post? Nawh. Not anymore. Much deleting happened, but we’ll get there again one day. Until then, this post will be memories of the first time this milestone was achieved.

Okay, okay, the 1000th post was a long time coming and I was aware of this happening since well… December. When the first 12 Days of Diverse Reads would propel us to this post a lot faster than normal speed. Being the procrastinator that I sometimes am… I’m not exactly prepared for this. (I also have papers for college due back to back… And I intend on taking out one of them at the very least.

Part of me hoped this would fall on a Friday, thus forcing Lupe to actually write the 1000th post without me doing anything but doing a wink wink nudge nudge. That backfired. Tremendously.

Well, let me backtrack just a little: It WOULD’VE fallen on a Friday because today is Thursday and if I decided to chicken out, Lupe would get the fabulous honor of doing the first four-digit post.

It really does not help that this year will be BWT’s fifth year in the blogosphere (even I don’t know what to do with that one yet, because I know Lupe and Anelise are not letting me get away with this year’s blogoversary like I did last year… Plus I’m sure Roberta will hold me accountable because it’s going to be her fifth blogoversary too).

So um… here’s to the first four-digit post ever, which is sure to last a long while. A GIF to commemorate this occasion:

Thank you to everyone who made this fabulous journey possible. The list is long, but I’m saving that list for later on in the year. ^_^

Sophia started blogging in February 2012 for the hell of it and is surprisingly still around. She has a GIF for nearly everything, probably listens to too much K-Pop and is generally in an existential crisis of sorts (she's trying her best). In 2020, she graduated with a Bachelor's in Communications and minor in Women's Studies. More of her bookish reviews and K-pop Roundups can be found at The Arts STL.
