Posted May 25, 2018 by Lupe

Happy Friday! We are one week closer to June which means a week closer to my summer classes to begin. Pray for me you all. I need it. This post is Netflix news heavy because they dropped two new deals!

Michael Bay + Ryan Reynolds + Writers of Deadpool = An Epic Netflix Movie

Anyone remember the film, Bright? Well, Bright was Netflix’s first attempt to create an out of this world action movie. The problem was that the movie did not get the best reviews and it was not exactly the best movie they have ever produced. But now we are getting a new action movie called Six Underground. The movie will be starring Ryan Reynolds (Known for his role as Deadpool in Deadpool). Michael Bay (Known for directing Transformers) will be directing the new movie. This is all according to The Hollywood Reporter. Writers Paul Wernick and Rhett Reese will be writing the script. Both of these geniuses wrote the script for Deadpool and Deadpool 2.

A Multi-year production deal with the Obamas

What do you know? More Netflix news!

According to their announcement of the new deal, “the Obamas will produce a diverse mix of content, including the potential for scripted series, unscripted series, docu-series, documentaries and features”. Netflix is giving the Obamas a platform to still be in the light in the upcoming years out of the White House.

  1. I wasn’t crazy about Bright, but we do generally like Netflix original movies. And with Ryan Reynolds and Michael Bay, that sounds pretty good!

  2. RO

In addition to loving books, I’m absolutely hooked on Netflix, and have to remove movies from my list all the time, in order to make room for the new stuff. (lol) I couldn’t get into Bright at all, but I’m looking forward to the new one with Ryan Reynolds. My movie watching is a mix of action, fantasy, food programs, documentaries like animals, over the top hotels, etc.,war stuff, romance and super heroes. It’s a wonder I have time for anything else. I’ve been hearing new about the Obamas getting involved too. A bit of trivia, Netflix pays well, but the work hours are super long, and they fire anyone immediately. Great post! Hugs…RO

  3. Six Underground sounds like it could be good, although I’m a bit wary of Micheal Bay. The Obama’s stuff could be interesting too, but it all depends what they actually produce on whether or not I watch it.
