Weekly Wrap-Up: Happy Easter

Happy Easter, bookwyrms!

Hope the Easter Bunny left you plenty of goodies. πŸ˜‰ We’ve had a pretty vacant week, though we tried on Tuesday. Lupe and I got booted out before we could rescue the post from being scheduled and it ended up going live (and then school things happened because I’m a procrastinator and I have a few completed drafts sitting.

The only evidence that happened is on Bloglovin. It’s a sneak peek of what we’re up to, so no worries. That post is coming back for sure. πŸ˜€

Random tip: trust no one, stay vigilant of mischief.

Book Haul

Nothing. Who has time for book shopping when there are papers to write and tests to study for?

The Reading Life

Just so everyone knows, I never finishedΒ The Opposite of Fate but I finished most of it and somehow managed to write a 7-8 page paper within the span of hours I threw myself into the cave (aka my room). I’m going to be surprised if I get a good score on this paper.

Onwards to other books! Um… most of it being textbooks for other papers due.

Like Sophia, I had to read my textbook in order to complete my essay. At this point, I no longer have a fun reading life.

Let’s talk about a few things that happened this week…

  • The most depressing thing that happened this week is the death of a bunny done by me… and I couldn’t do anything to stop it. 😭
  • I finally registered for my Fall 2018 semester classes, and I’m happy to say my schedule seems to be a lot less stressful because I canΒ finally get a weekend… sort of. (Okay, mom. You can get the car back. I’M SORRY FOR THE PAST TWO YEARS. πŸ˜‚)
  • I’m moving myΒ online portfolio (that I somehow forgot and abandoned since last year) to WordPress.
  • I haven’t been active in comment hopping either, unfortunately. (Just so you all know we love you.) 😭

  • It rained all week in St. Louis which caused my professor to cancel my Tennis classes. So I didn’t do any exercise this week.
  • I’m currently doing a complicated string art project for one of my classes! It’sΒ VERY time-consuming. I am creating an angel and boy did I choose a complicated one. I just finished hammering down all the nails and now I have to wrap the string around the nails. I will definitely show the result in next week’s weekly update.
  • I haven’t been active in responding comments this week. Woops. All of my time was dedicated to my school work. I apologize and will certainly catch up this upcoming week!
  • Sophia texted me about the bunny incident and I DEFINITELY SHAMED HER FOR IT. The poor bunny. What did it do to you, Sophia? πŸ˜‚

Let’s talk: how is your Easter so far? Any fun books read, or are you stuck in textbooks like us? Should Sophia be shamed for killing the poor bunny? 😭

The Bookwyrms

The Bookwyrms originally started as a solo blog with Sophia before being expanded to a group blog in late 2014. We're a diverse group of three who enjoy reading, sharing our thoughts/opinions with other readers, and fangirling over the books we have a passion for. The fangirling typically expands to other things as well, like chocolate, for instance

  1. Happy Easter! I’m sorry to hear about the bunny incident!?!

I like that title for Warcross #2. Wildcard… yeah that works I think. πŸ™‚

Hope you have a good week and no unexpected mischief ha ha.

  2. Gah, school work is THE WORST. I’ve been on a week-long break for the Holy Week, but I’m going back to school tomorrow. T_T No worries about reading textbooks, although that’s pretty sad. And I’m so sorry about the bunny. T_T

  3. School is such a downer when it disrupts your reading life. Sophia what did that bunny ever do to you?! -_- No more pens for you xD The art project with the angel sounds cool Lupe, I took art at school and found it both enjoyable and stressful. So good luck! Hope you two have a good week πŸ™‚

  4. No shame in killing the bunny. Sometimes they are just suicidal and there’s no time to avoid them. Trust me, I live in the country and between bunnies and pheasants, it’d be like a mad-ass game of mario kart to avoid them all. πŸ™

  5. Sorry you are both stuck in textbooks – I hope you get some fun reading in soon. Lupe – I definitely want to see your string art. I made one in the shape of my state (KY) one time but it’s not the best. LOL Granted, I think you can at least tell what it is. My mom did the same one and hers is way better.

  6. ah! i killed a bunny through no fault of my own too earlier last week! it was devastating! but now I don’t feel as alone. no shame for Sophia!

I recently finished reading The Freeze Frame Revolution by Peter Watts, and then immeidately picked up Good Guys, an urban fantasy mystery by Steven Brust. Both of these authors are top of my list favorite authors, so to get to read their stuff back to back is a treat! I’m trying to read the Brust slowly, because I don’t want it to end. Every time I read a new book from him, it makes me want to reread all of my Brust favorites.

  7. Happy belated Easter! I’m still getting over the chocolate intake and I’m planning another Easter-ish weekend with kids that we didn’t get to see over the actual weekend…. Uh oh.

As I mentioned on your other post – I’m so far behind on blogging so blog hopping has been a rare thing lately. Life happens! My point is, don’t feel bad at all.

Hope this week has been better!
