I can’t believe there’s less than a month left before I have to start classes again. 😂 I feel like I was a freshman starting college yesterday. 😲
Also I have kidnapped Clo from Cuppa Clo forever and she has sold her soul to me.
She did not actually sell her soul – she’s kindly volunteered to help Lupe and me reformat our old posts and I can’t thank her with books so I gave her a free pass to contribute as she pleases.
(I don’t know how I deserve a wonderful bean in my life and I don’t know how else to thank her. 😭😭😭)

I spent most of my week messing with Wix and creating a portfolio for myself – something I started on Blogger two years ago, moved it to WordPress a few months ago…
I have a love/hate relationship with what I want on my own site. 😭 Maybe Wix will be the last??? I seem to be having better luck with it.
I’ve also found out that while my wrist is completely fine, it’s not going to be the same – I won’t be able to do anything for a long period of time without it aching. Hello, better time management skills must happen now.
No more writing that 12-page paper two days before. 😝 (Okay, I start a week before but it’s an outline with my ramblings. It doesn’t count.)

I honestly forget to stop by weekly. Oops. I finished my finals last week! It was MISERABLE. I also accomplished a lifetime goal. I GOT AN A IN CALCULUS! I DID IT! I MAINTAINED MY GPA!
I decided to go on a ‘staycation’. This means that I won’t be working for the next two weeks. I will be spending time with friends these upcoming days. As well as getting things together for the upcoming semester. I had to work 60 hours this week in order to make up the days I will be missing from work in my ‘staycation’. I am completely burnt out. I’m ready to FINALLY finish reading the Harry Potter series.
Let’s talk, bookwyrms: do you use Wix? What do you think of it? Do you find cleaning up posts difficult?
Sophia started blogging in February 2012 for the hell of it and is surprisingly still around. She has a GIF for nearly everything, probably listens to too much K-Pop and is generally in an existential crisis of sorts (she's trying her best). In 2020, she graduated with a Bachelor's in Communications and minor in Women's Studies. More of her bookish reviews and K-pop Roundups can be found at The Arts STL.
It is hard to believe it’s almost school time already! This summer has flown! Good luck with Wix though- and yay for calculus! I’m not sure it would be possible for me to get an A in calculus lol.
Have a super week you guys- enjoy the staycation!!
Aw, that is so sweet of Chloe 🙂 and too bad to hear about your wrist. Hope those time management skills do work out in your favor 🙂
I hate that you’re in pain, and sure hope that it does continue to improve, Sophia. Anyone who can do technical stuff is a friend in my book, so kudos to you! Lupe – that’s a HUGE deal with the calculus! Kudos! Hugs and Happy Sunday! RO
Sophia, I am glad to hear your wrist is better now!
Lupa, that is great about your grade!
Y’all have a wonderful week ahead. 🙂
Thanks, Jenea, you too!
Not sure what WIX is. LOL So much out there now. My old posts are terrible and I try to go back and fix them but so many. I hope the pain in your wrist becomes manageable and congrats on the GPA!
Yay for the A!!! Sounds like you both have been busy and I am glad your friend is helping with formatting.
Good for you guys that you can behave! I am still getting books. I need to curb by habits. Have a wonderful week!
Mary my #SundayRoundup #30!
Good luck with Wix, Sophia! And enjoy your staycation, Lupe! I hope you love the remaining HP books 🙂
I haven’t used Wix or wordpress but hope the change works out for you!
Wow, great job with calculus. I’m so bad at math that I had to transfer to a different college that had fewer math requirements. I wouldn’t have been able to graduate from the school I was attending because I couldn’t pass math. Have a great week!
Ooooh I am loving your weekly wrap up posts. I hope your wrist gets better soon. I tried Wix but did not really like it.
I don’t use Wix, but I switched from Blogger to WordPress a couple months ago and it’s been a pain working out design kinks, especially with older posts. I’ve also been figuring out how to structure posts, but it’s been getting easier as I go. I usually work from the template of an older post.
Outside of Blogger, I only have experience with Weebly (which was not terrible). For now, I am going to stick to my comfortable little corner in Blogger even though I have been thinking about switching to WordPress (despite all of the stressful stories Sophia shares). I love how WordPress blogs look and the amount of customization (especially everything you guys have done with yours!), but I just cannot do it now. Anyway, good luck with Wix and I hope you both have a great August!
Also, Clo if you are reading this, I hope you get out soon! I am rooting for you!
there’s no way out now haha, it’s fine I’m kidnapping Soph for something we’ll be working on haha xD
Ahh! Clo sounds like an AMAZING friend. Lucky you!
I’m surprised to see no book haul! Wow! Well done!
Also, STAYCATIONS ARE THE BEST! We have a long weekend coming up with 2 days off and I’m considering just chilling at home….
I tried to use Wix once and got all lost and confused… So I kept to blogger for it is simple, and I is simple, so it works, lol.
Good luck with the re-formatting of posts and yeay for Chloe!
Dear Sophia! Just want to warn you – I was so disappointed using Wix, they have a good promo though. I changed my blog platform to WordPress, it’s much more useful, plugins are great there. I used CMS2CMS service helped to move my blog automatically
