For the past few years, I’ve become a lot more selective with cover reveals. BUT the Once Upon a Curse series by Kaitlyn Davis is one of my all-time favorite retellings, and I had to sign up for the reveal for Chasing Midnight when I saw it.
Bookwyrms and friends, I HAVE BEEN WAITING FOR AGES. One day last year I wondered if the third novel came out, and I just didn’t know about it. But no, it didn’t yet! Internal tears have ensued as a result of this.
But today, TODAY IS THE DAYYYYYY.
Today, the cover for Chasing Midnight will be revealed!
*toots horns*
Ahhh, I am so excited to help reveal the cover for the third book in the Once Upon a Curse series, and I am even more excited for the release coming in a couple of months. What are words, even? I don’t know them, but I do know the synopsis:
**A USA Today Recommended Series!**
This faerie godmother has an agenda of her own… Don’t miss CHASING MIDNIGHT, a fantasy romance from bestselling author Kaitlyn Davis that reimagines the classic fairy tale of Cinderella.
“I could redeem myself if I wanted to. I could help them. But I won’t. I’m the villain of their story, because it’s the only way to be the hero of mine.”
Hundreds of years ago, humans learned the secret to sealing magic beneath their skin and stole it from the world. Faeries reverted back to flowers. Shifters remained trapped in their animal forms. Mermaids turned to foam. And the magical creatures who survived vowed revenge.
Nymia is one of those survivors, a faerie brought back to life by the return of her magic. When she finds a human girl named Ella with her sister’s power trapped beneath her skin, she’ll do anything to get her back, including kill.
There’s only one problem.
This isn’t the world she remembers. Humans here have a power all their own—technology. And when a human prince sees her using magic, he’ll use every invention at his disposal to track her down. The countdown is on, and time is running out. Nymia needs to find Ella, take back her sister’s magic, and escape the determined prince before the clock strikes twelve, or she might not make it out of his city alive…
*This is the third book in Once Upon a Curse, a series of interconnected stand-alone novels all set in the same fantasy universe.
And I know the cover, which is magical and shiny, and oh, it fits beautifully with Gathering Frost and Withering Rose, the first two novels. 😍😍😍
Take a look at the pretty cover belowwwww:
Chasing Midnight comes out August 26 THIS YEAR and you can pre-order yourselves a copy RIGHT NOW. 💃
*plucks an affiliate link to Amazon, which means I get a small commission to help offset blog costs at no additional cost to you* I want a copy of Kaitlyn Davis’s newest book from Amazon! Or you can add it to your never-ending TBR pile on Goodreads.
Tell me your thoughts on the cover! Also, would you rather be a pumpkin or glass slipper?*
*Yes, I ask weird questions sometimes. Humor me.

Ooh pretty cover! What a fun series too; I hadn’t heard of these before. 🙂 And ummm…a pumpkin maybe? I’m not sure I’d want someone stomping around in me if I was a glass slipper. 😉

Good point! I wouldn’t want anyone stomping around in me either as a glass slipper. Maybe on a display, sure?

I haven’t read any books from this series yet, but the synopsis looks really interesting. Plus, the cover is gorgeous!

What a lovely cover! And I would rather be a pumpkin because feet are DISGUSTING and I have zero desire to be a glass slipper upon feet. *gags* I haven’t heard of this series but I am going to go check out your review for the first book now.

YES. I hope you add it to your TBR. *rubs hands evilly*
