Who We Are
Our Website Address is https://bookwyrmingthoughts.com. This site is owned by Sophia. This site currently includes contributions from Sophia, Lupe and Clo.
At Bookwyrming Thoughts, your privacy is important to us, and we take them seriously. Below is our privacy policy with a list of data that we may collect from you when you visit our site, how the information is used, and how you can opt out of it at any time.
When Your Data is Collected:
Your data may be collected when using this site. The following lists the ways we collect your data.
Subscribing to our site for future posts
We collect your email address when you subscribe to receive blog posts from us via email subscription. You can subscribe by filling out the form through the sidebar on the right and the footer at the bottom. Upon submission, you will receive a confirmation email to confirm your subscription through a link in the email.
We will only send you emails that you have signed up to receive or which pertain to the services we provided to you. You can unsubscribe from us at any time at the bottom of our emails or contacting us.
We currently use follow.it as our email sending service. This service allows us to track opens and clicks on our emails. We use this information to improve the content of our website. We cannot view email addresses if you subscribe directly through follow.it.
No identifiable information is otherwise tracked outside this website except for the email address. Past services include MailChimp and MailPoet, which collected names and email addresses and may have been transferred to follow.it.
Commenting/replying on our site
When visitors leave comments on our site, we collect the data shown in the comments form, along with the IP address and browser user agent string, to help spam detection.
We use Akismet to detect spam, which is a service that collects information from the commenter, such as IP address, user agent, referrer, and Site URL. Other information may include those directly provided by the commenter, such as name, username, email address, and the comment itself.
An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.
Participating in giveaways
We occasionally host giveaways on our site, which collects your name and email address throughout the duration of the giveaway. Giveaways are generally hosted through Rafflecopter via a third-party, such as blog tour companies, authors, and publishers.
Blog tour companies we host tours with include (but not limited to): Xpresso Book Tours, TBR and Beyond Tours, and Rock Star Book Tours. We do not control the content or links that appear on these sites and are not responsible for their practices.
Should a giveaway be hosted by a contributing writer on our site, your information will be collected and stored for the duration of the giveaway. You will be contacted only if you are selected as the winner, and your information will be stored until you have received your prize or three months after sending the email, whichever comes first.
Contacting us via email
We do not use a contact form on this website, however, we do collect your name and email address when contacting us. Your information is kept as long as we are communicating through email.
If you are an author, publisher, or PR professional, we collect other essential details other than your name and email address when contacting us.
