Hello everyone! It’s been awhile since I last posted but I’m back! Sort of… let’s hope I don’t creep back into my cave of hibernation. Anyway, today I am bringing you a blog tour of Let’s Talk About Love by Claire Kann.

A copy of the book was provided for review purposes - thank you! Receiving a copy does not guarantee a positive review and therefore does not affect the opinion or content of the review.Alice had her whole summer planned. Non-stop all-you-can-eat buffets while marathoning her favorite TV shows (best friends totally included) with the smallest dash of adulting--working at the library to pay her share of the rent. The only thing missing from her perfect plan? Her girlfriend (who ended things when Alice confessed she's asexual). Alice is done with dating--no thank you, do not pass go, stick a fork in her, done.
But then Alice meets Takumi and she can’t stop thinking about him or the rom com-grade romance feels she did not ask for (uncertainty, butterflies, and swoons, oh my!).
When her blissful summer takes an unexpected turn, and Takumi becomes her knight with a shiny library employee badge (close enough), Alice has to decide if she’s willing to risk their friendship for a love that might not be reciprocated—or understood.
I hope you don’t mind if this is a bit rough; haven’t reviewed anything in sooo long!
I generally tend to like books published by Swoon Reads so I was very excited when I heard this was being published. I was not disappointed in the content! I love how even though this is a light story about a girl who happens to be ace that falls in love, it has a few deep scenes that show the struggle of one teen (19 counts as a teen, right?) and how she comes to terms with/explores her identity.
As well as this, Alice is in college and her parents are pushing her to become a lawyer. Over the course of the story, she is trying to figure out what she wants out of life – she knows she doesn’t really want to become a lawyer, she’s just doing that to please her parents. But if she doesn’t want to become a lawyer, what else could she do? I love how this story is centered around college because I haven’t read many stories like that and I think this could be useful to someone who is entering college or is thinking about college.
Above everything else, I love how realistic this story is. I love the dynamics of the characters and how they grow and learn, and I love how this story addresses some topics/stereotypes. Most of all, I love how a girl could read this story and go hey, this girl is just like me!
