Super Smash Bros. Ultimate | One of the Most Hype Games of December

January 10, 2019

A review? From Lupe? I KNOW.

I can’t remember the last time I have done a review. It’s certainly time to change things up.

My cousin owned a Nintendo Gamecube back in the day. I’ve always gone to his house in the summer and played Super Smash Bros. Melee. That was the first time I was introduced to the world of Super Smash Bros. The hype for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate was huge last month. I was part of the hype and was able to snatch the game before it sold out.

Fighters in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate

All 70+ fighters are not available to play from the start. You have to unlock all the fighters. 8 fighters are available to play from the start which includes Mario, Donkey Kong, Link, Samus, Yoshi, Kirby, Fox, and Pikachu.

Although I don’t have all of the fighters, that does not stop me from enjoying the game. I have lost challenges to fighters such as Jigglypuff and Isabelle from Animal Crossing. Here is what I currently have in my roster at the moment.

Favorite fighters: Kirby, Yoshi, Pit, Ness, Villager, Donkey Kong, and Pikachu.

Least favorite fighters: Peach, Sonic and Inkling.

Stages

The game contains 103 stages to choose from the start. As well as 700 music tracks.

A couple of the stages in the game are hard and complicated. The Battlefield stage is my favorite. I let the game choose a random stage for me. Each stage comes with its own challenges that make the game more fun to play.

Adventure Mode

I found out Super Smash Bros. Ultimate has an adventure mode while I was clicking around the game. Adventure mode contains an easy, moderate and hard level. Of course, I choose moderate. I can’t make this game too easy or too hard for me.

Kirby is the star of the show. Galeem came and took all of the fighters except my good friend Kirby. Kirby‘s job is to fight back all the spirits in the game to free the captive fighters. These spirits are in the form of the fighters. You can take whatever path you want in the world of light. The whole point is to find the path to Galeem and fight him back and save the world! I have not done that yet, but I will be soon! So far, I am enjoying adventure mode.

Graphics

The graphics on Super Smash Bros. Ultimate is phenomenal! You can say that I enjoy playing Kirby. Kirby can transform into any player during battle and has an advantage of not dying when he gets thrown off the stage. Each fighter has a unique power move which visually looks fantastic on screen.

The intro opening scene is beautiful and beautifully displays each fighter in action.

Final Thoughts about Super Smash Bros. Ultimate

Overall, the game did not disappoint me at all. I cannot think of one negative thing about the game. It’s super enjoyable. I highly recommend it for all gamers and nongamers. Each fighter is fun to play and discover how they fight. Kirby will always be my favorite.

What are your thoughts about Super Smash Bros. Ultimate? Who are your favorite and least favorite fighters?
